But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” KOT — Knockin’ Out Temptation — was never just a brand. It was a lifeline.

From Murder to Ministry

KOT was founded by Nathan Cabrera, but the story began long before the first shirt was printed. At 15 years old, Nathan’s life was violently altered. While he and his siblings slept, gang members entered their home to carry out a revenge killing. That morning — September 10, 2007 — Nathan lost his mother to a single gunshot wound to the head. In an instant, safety disappeared, childhood ended, and grief became permanent. In the aftermath, the family was separated. Stability was fractured. And yet, even in the chaos, faith remained. Not untouched. Not untested. But present. Nathan believed God would allow him to reunite his siblings under one roof and raise them together in faith. That was his prayer. That was his plan. But God had a different one.

Why We Exist

KOT exists to remind people that temptation does not disqualify you. Trauma does not define you. And pain does not get the final word.Through apparel, storytelling, and community engagement, KOT points people back to the faithfulness of God — not as a concept, but as an experience.
